For the last few years I've liked RADWIMPS. Their strong point is really their instrumentalism. There are also people who like their lyrics, and of course that's part of their appeal, but for me it's "sound". When you compare them to other bands of the same generation, I think their instrumentalism is amazing. Because their sound is so good, the lyrics don't hit me so much. I've always been someone for whom the sound is more important than the lyrics. The sound, more than the lyrics, hits me with a greater emotional impact, and is something that resonates down to the soul… If the sound takes you to an extreme, then I believe no matter what lyrics the song has it will echo into you.
